The glove puppet is also called the palm puppet, which is also one of the local plays portraying local icons. The primary three sects of the glove puppets are Zhou, New world displayed in Kaohsiung with their own inhabitation. Starting from the outer stage play for god-worshiping ceremonies after wars until the shinny inner stage golden-rays glove puppets in 60 and 70s, it has an unshakable recognition in traditional play developments of Taiwan. In order to preserve and promote the local glove puppet shows, this museum has specifically opened a permanent exhibition called the, Little Theater of Glove Puppet in Takao based on more than 100 pieces of objects and documents of glove puppets that have been preciously collected. In the play, it will be presented in an interactive method that every type of glove puppets, traditional, golden-rays and Pi-li will board on the oxcart show stage and little puppet stage. Accommodating the irregularly promoting show activities, plays of Takao legends and locals fairy tales will be presented to you through the puppets.
